Panasonic RX-DT690
The RX-DT690 was a 3-piece CD boombox sold by Panasonic during the 1990s. It is well-liked for its high power and excellent, bass-heavy sound. I believe it was the only model in Panasonic's Platinum Collection with 3-way speakers (which include 12cm woofers, 8cm mids, and 1.5cm ceramic tweeters). It is a bi-amp system, with separate amps for the lows and highs (a 2x18W Toshiba TA8205AH chip drives the woofers, while a Rohm BA5414 chip drives the mids and tweets). Odd that Panasonic did not use its own chips!
It has a digital tuner, 2 tape decks, and a CD player. There is a graphic equalizer and a knob for S-XBS (Super Extra Bass System). Total system dimensions are 642mm wide, 267mm tall, and 231mm deep. It takes 10 D-cell batteries, and 4 AA batteries for memory backup.
