The RX-DT690 was a 3-piece boombox sold by Panasonic during the 1990s. It is well-liked for its high power and excellent, bass-heavy sound. It is a bi-amp system, with separate amps for the highs and lows. I believe it was the only model within the Platinum Series lineup with 3-way speakers (which include 12cm woofers, 8cm mids, and 1.5cm tweeters). To the left of the volume knob is another knob for S-XBS (Super Extra Bass System). It measures 642mm wide, 267mm tall, and 231mm deep. It takes 10 D-cell batteries, and 4 AA batteries for memory backup.
