Lasonic TRC-918
The TRC-918 was one of Lasonic's best-built boomboxes. It has a heft and rigidity that is missing from the big black Lasonics and even the silver TRC-920. There are two versions, shown below. The first one has black woofers, the second has white woofers (and is more rare). They were both made in Taiwan and take 8 D-cell batteries. The difference is, the one with black woofers has a Loudness and Tuner Light switch, while the other one does not. Also, the one with black woofers has removable tuner glass (via 4 screws), while the glass on the other one appears to be simply glued in place.
