This model is a heavy performer, with more power than the M9998 and MX720. According to Sanyo, it puts out 2x13 watts "music power", while the M9998 outs out 2x12 and the MX720 puts out 2x11. Of course, the MX820 and MX920 beat it....They have 2x18 and 2x16 watts, respectively).

The bass is nice and warm, due to very mobile surrounds on the woofers. The Wide setting is good.
