Sanyo M-W580
The MW580 was one of Sanyo's top-level minis. It measures 485mm long, 130mm tall, and 160mm deep. It's a good quality system with a substantial weight for a mini, checking in at 4.4 KG (not including batteries). It has detachable 3-way speakers, meaning there's a total of 6 speakers (four 8cm cones and two piezo tweeters). The cones on the front have bigger magnets and better bass. The cones on top are not as loud. They're simply meant to reflect sound around your room. Interestingly, Sanyo added a pair of wood sticks inside the speakers to brace the walls.
There's a 5-band graphic equalizer, along with a button called "REC EQUALIZER". I'm assuming this button allows you to use the equalizer to adjust the music you're recording on tape. This is a very uncommon feature on a boombox.
This model takes 8 C-cell batteries, or you will need to find a suitable 12V power adapter. You cannot use a standard AC cord on this model.
