The RV-DP200 was the top of the line Kaboom, with CD pitch control and a flashing LED meter.

JVC RV-DP200

The RV-DP200 was the top-of-the-line Kaboom from JVC. It came out in 2001, one year after the RV-DP100. It was nearly identical, except for the following differences:

  • The DP200 has a VU meter above the tape deck. The DP100 does not.
  • The front grills on the DP200 are red; the grills on the DP100 are silver.
  • The DP200 has silver knobs made of normal plastic, while the DP100 has black knobs with shitty soft-touch coating that becomes gummy after a few years.
  • The DP200 has CD pitch control, while the DP100 has an "Ambient" EQ button instead.

It's about 25 inches long and weighs 22.5 lbs without batteries. The remote control part number is RM-SRVDP100E. The photos below show a European model with a 230V transformer (which I will need to change out since I'm in the USA). I'm pretty sure JVC also sold a 115V version.
