A very rare ghettoblaster from 1983 with a unique low-slung design. I think it was only sold in Europe.

Toshiba RT-9510S

The RT-9510 is very rare......maybe even rarer than the Bombeat 40. I've been browsing radios on Ebay every week for the last 10 years, and this model appears only once or twice a year. I think it was only sold in Europe, because every one I've seen was 220-240 volts. It has a very unique design, low and wide, with most of its controls on the bottom. Toshiba calls it "Horizontal Chassis". The 16cm woofers and 4cm tweeters are spread far apart for maximum stereo separation. I love the twin antennas that collapse into the case.

To disassemble this radio, remove the 6 screws from the back, and the 2 black screws on the bottom. Remember there is a special compartment for 2 AA batteries behind the 8 D batteries. I think it's for station memory. To save a station, press the "Memory" button and then one of the preset buttons.
