The MX720 was one of Sanyo's larger boomboxes of the early 1980's. It is also one of the most rare. Its shiny metal trim and big VU meters make a good impression. According to the service manual, which can be purchased HERE, its power output is 2x11 watts "maximum music power", but that isn't very helpful because "music power" is not as accurate as an FTC measurement. Its tape deck frequency response is allegedly 30 to 17,000 Hz using Metal tape, which if true is very good for a boombox.
