This is one of the only boomboxes with swivel mics. It is powered by two SGS-Thomson TBA-810CB amplifier chips.

Disassembly instructions:
1) Remove the tuner knob, band knob, mic level knob, bass knob, treble knob, volume knob, and balance switch.
2) You do NOT need to remove the swivel mics or the toggle switches.
3) Remove 5 screws on the back and 3 on the bottom.
4) Pull out the bottom edge first, and then pull the case up to clear the pots and switches.
5) There are several wires that need to be disconnected.
6) Be careful when re-assembling that the front headphone and DIN jacks fit correctly. They are mounted on free-floating circuit boards that might shift around and interfere with the mounting tabs.
