Toshiba RT-S913 - Bombeat 40
One of the most coveted and desirable boomboxes from Toshiba, and even among all boomboxes, is the rare Toshiba RT-S913 (Bombeat 40). Featuring a 3-way speaker system anchored by huge 8-inch woofers, it is the quintessential boombox. Its design is the ultimate meld where beauty and beast peacefully coexist at the same time. Its rarity, combined with its good looks, makes it sell for prices approaching the stratosphere on Ebay, even broken ones with lots of cosmetic problems.
It wasn't the top-level Toshiba. It's not as advanced as the WX-1 or the RT-S90 or the RT-S931. It doesn't have autoreverse, soft-touch controls, ADRES, or even a tape type selector. And the eraser head is just a simple magnet, lol. But it does have MQJS (Music Quick Jumping Selector), which was Toshiba's version of tape track search.
