Sharp QT-73CD
From 1988 comes this awesome boombox from Sharp. I believe it was sold only in Japan, because every example I've seen was 100 volts. It has a total of 7 speakers, including 4 pointing straight forward, 2 on the sides to provide a "surround effect", and a rear-mounted subwoofer. The subwoofer is very small (only 8cm diameter), but it is connected to 2 hidden bass tubes inside, which look similar to those found in a Bose Wave. Sharp calls them "Twin Bass Horns". They bend around inside, and exit via the front ports. As a result, you get a more full-bodied sound than expected for a boombox. Beware, 3 of the speakers on this boombox have foam edges, so they will need to be re-foamed if it has not been done so already.
This boombox has a CD player, digital tuner, spectrum analyzer, and Sharp's "Twincam" cassette system, which means that you can load 2 tapes into the same door. It also comes with a remote control (RRMCG0146AFSA).
