The Vela DK-990R Discolite, Personal Disco Component is a goofy, fun, flashy blinky christmas tree toy-like device. However, people young and old alike have fallen in love with these. The celebrity Madonna was famously captured squatting on one of these on stage. Today, they fetch big bucks especially if they're in decent shape. But they're actually a very low quality boombox in terms of their overall build solidity and sound. Don't expect it to sound like a Sharp GF-777. However, the unique flashing, blinking lights that come alive to the tune of the music, tempo and volume was genius, and will forever be a collectors' favorite.
Its dimensions are 720 x 370 x 130 mm. It has a badge saying "100 watts PMPO" (Peak Music Power Output), but you should ignore that because it's nonsense. The owners manual says the true output is only 22 watts.
