Sanyo M9818
The M9818 was a 3-piece ghettoblaster manufactured by Sanyo during the early or mid 1980's. Oddly, it's a 7.5 volt model, so it takes only 5 D-cell batteries. The service manual says that its power ouput is only 2 watts max. Whether that means total or per channel is anyone's guess, but this clearly isn't one of Sanyo's better models. Frequency response is quoted at 80 to 10,000 Hz, which is poor even for a boombox. Each of the speaker boxes contains a woofer, a tweeter, and a passive radiator. And the center unit has its own woofer and tweeter (but I've never owned this model, so I don't know if they're real or not). It was made in Taiwan and measures 474 x 282 x 115 mm.
In 2011 Alibaba was selling a rather attractive remake of this model with a USB player. See the last photo. It was manufactured by Shenzhen Modeltime in Guangdong, China.
