RFT SKR-501

This ghettoblaster was sold in the GDR (East Germany). It has very bizarre styling. Some people might call it ugly. The plastic case is very cheap (it squeaks). But, the screws are held by metal posts! And it is heavy (6.7 kg). Its best feature is the cool LED meter that dances with the music.

This model doesn't have much bass, but it has great mids & highs with great stereo separation. So it sounds great with techno and other electronic music. It weighs 6.7 kg (not including batteries).
