This micro stereo system is from 2008, and is the same as the SC-PMX3. It has the ability to record from CD to USB.

Panasonic SC-PMX4

The SC-PMX4 is a mini stereo from Panasonic that was sold in Europe in 2008. In some countries it was called the SC-PMX3.

Yeah yeah, we know, you think mini systems are garbage. But this is one of the better quality ones, and it's very space-efficient (only 24CM tall and 35CM deep). It has a single-disc CD player with a MASH 1 bit D/A converter, a radio tuner with 30 station presets, and a USB port for playing flash drives or recording CD's onto them. There is also an iPod port on the back, and a 3.5mm auxiliary input on the front. The remote control part number is N2QAYB000257.

For sound effects, it has Dynamic Bass, Re-Master, Surround, and five EQ settings (Heavy, Clear, Soft, Vocal, or Off). But if you prefer, you can just use the Bass and Treble knobs on the front.

The 3-way speakers contain 14cm mica-reinforced polypropylene woofers with rubber surrounds, 1.9cm soft dome tweeters with neodymium magnets, 1.5cm piezo super-tweeters, and rear bass ports. The crossover frequencies are 5.3kHz and 10kHz.

According to the owners manual, the output power is 2x80 watts RMS @ 10% distortion, with both channels driven. But how is that possible, when the label on the back says total consumption is only 85 watts? Panasonic also says it has "Pure Water" capacitors, which is a silly name, because if they really contained pure water, then there would be no electrolyte, and hence they could not function as electrolytic capacitors.
