Fisher PH-470
The Fisher PH-470 is a re-branded Sanyo MR-P6. It was very advanced for its time. It has a digital tuner with buttons for Auto Search and 6 station presets. You can also use the tuning knob on the side of the boombox. This knob has a detented movement with 0.1 MHz for each detent. The tape deck has music search, with 7 selector buttons above the tape door. There's a beautiful metal plate inside the deck, and on the door too. All this quality results in heavy weight (7.4 kg without batteries).
This model has very strong sound, with very good bass and treble, and a nice Wide setting. It takes 10 D-cell batteries and uses a Sanyo LA4125T amplifier, the same one used in the Sony CFS-77 (but that model only uses 8 batteries, so it won't make as much power).
Be careful, this model sometimes has a faded LCD screen, and frozen memory buttons.
The photograph below shows it with a pair of Sanyo microphones, which fit into slots on the side.
