Akai AJ-500
The Akai AJ500 is from the year 1980. It uses the "upside-down" design philosophy, meaning that all the controls are on the bottom, just like the Panasonic RX-5350, 7000, and 7200.
Power output is 6W per channel RMS max. It can get loud, and it sounds very nice, especially on Wide mode. The woofers are 16cm, and the tweeters are 5cm. The weight is 14.2 lbs without batteries. Dimensions are 19.7" x 12.7" x 6.4". There are two known versions: The AJ-500FL version, which was sold in Europe and rated for 220V only, and the AJ-500FS version which is multi-voltage.
