This boombox was one of <a class="wiki" href="Toshiba" rel="">Toshiba</a>'s top models. It was a 3-piece system whose speakers could be attached below the main unit. Each of the two speakers contained a 12cm woofer, a 4cm tweeter, and a 16cm passive radiator. The tape deck was very advanced for a boombox, with Toshiba's noise reduction system called ADRES (Automatic Dynamic Range Expansion System), and an alleged frequency response of 20Hz to 18kHz when using metal tape.

It is VERY big (740 x 379 x 180mm) and VERY heavy (14 kg, and that's without batteries......it takes ten D-cells).
