This is definitely one of the bigger 3-piece boomboxes. Dual antennas, which is rare on a 3-piece boombox. The antennas feature Silver's trademark ball-shaped tips. The tuner knob is flywheel-weighted, and the volume knob has a detented movement (30 detents). Its sound quality is very nice, with lots of detail, crisp highs, low noise, and great separation. The sound quality is a bit boxy however, due to the thin plastic walls.

It weighs 22.8 lbs.

There is another version with two tape decks, called the Silver SR-8800.
