Lasonic i-931 Boombox. Continuing with the Lasonic tradition of making large flashy boomboxes that pumps loud sound, this i-931 version sports a digital AM/FM tuner, a dock that houses either an iPod or iPhone (traditional wide interface only, not the new tiny ones) inputs for Aux, SD/MMC card and USB drives. The familiar mirrored/cascading led meters remain and this model comes in a variety of colors. The example shown here is all white and the owner customized it with an assortment of stickers. As this model contains basically the same speaker drivers it has used in most of the earlier versions, it likewise has a good strong sound. It is a fairly light box for it's size which suggests cheapness, however it also allows it to be easily carried around. This model is however a bit more power hungry than earlier analog versions however since the digital portion of the boombox will shut down the unit and prevent it from powering up if the batteries are low. This has resulted in some owners thinking that their units were defective since the batteries will still power up an analog boombox, albeit at a reduced lower volume.
