The TRC-931 MKIII was the third generation of this model, with a dramatically different appearance. Instead of the sharp-cornered, boxy shape of the previous two generations, it has a very rounded, almost "inflated" shape. It also has a flat black finish instead of gloss black. Inside, the woofers marked "Lucky 4Ω 16-35W" and the tweeters are marked "Lucky 4Ω 16-20W". This generation has GREAT bass. When compared to the 2nd generation, it definitely has more bass, but the 2nd generation seems louder because it has stronger high notes.

If you experience the sound cutting out, or weak bass, check the graphic equalizer. This model, like many Lasonics, often suffers from weak contacts in the equalizer sliders. So you might need to take it apart and apply some DeoxIT Fader Lube to those sliders.
