Very nice ghettoblaster from the early 80s. Similar build as the GE 3-5286.

Universum CTR-2312M

The CTR-2312 is a beautiful boombox from Universum, a brand created by the German mail-order retailer Quelle. The silver grills, metal trim, green-glass cassette door, and fine precision lettering are wonders to behold! And the toggle switches feel great to use.

It was built from the same chassis used by the GE 3-5286A. But it has several features that the GE lacks: Dual antennas, a 4-band tuner, a music search function, a mic mixing knob, and a tuner light operated by a push button. It also has needle meters instead of LED. And finally, the Rec Level controls have been combined into one knob, instead of two knobs like the GE has.

Dimensions: 456mm wide, 265mm tall (315mm with the handle up), and 116mm thick.
Speakers: 12cm woofers, 2cm tweeters
Amplifier: Rohm BA536
Power output when using AC cable: 2 x 6 watts @ 10% distortion. 2 x 10 watts music power.
Power output when using batteries: 2 x 2.8 watts @ 10% distortion. 2 x 3.5 watts music power.
Weight: 5.9 kg without batteries.
Power requirements: 220V AC, or eight D-cell batteries. It can also accept a Dryfit 6Sx3S battery.
