Aiwa EXOS-10

The EXOS-10 came out in August 2024, and is a replacement for the Aiwa EXOS-9. The EXOS-10 certainly "looks" better, with dual VU meters, a spectrum analyzer, and silver rings around the speakers. By the way, you can turn off those meters and spectrum analyzer if you want to darken it.

The biggest difference between the two models is the driver setup. While they both have 6.5" dual-coil subwoofers, the similarities end there. The EXOS-9 has a total of 5 active drivers, including midrangers and tweeters. The EXOS-10 gets by with only 3 active drivers: The sub along with two 2.75" full-range drivers. Another difference is that the EXOS-9 has a rear bass port, while the EXOS-10 has 4 passive radiators (2 on the front and 2 on the back). As for sound quality, you'll have to wait for a YouTube review comparing the two.

Both models claim to produce an output power of 200 watts, but we all know that's BS, given that the FCC teardown of the EXOS-9 revealed that the drivers were rated for only 20W for the sub, 20W each for the midranges, and 10W each for the tweeters.

Unlike the previous model, the EXOS-10 has an FM radio with station presets. It also has Bluetooth version 5.0, a step up from the version 4.2 used on the EXOS-9.
