Toshiba's lineup certainly rivals that of many of their competitors at the time, such as <a class="wiki" href="Aiwa" rel="">Aiwa</a>, <a class="wiki" href="Akai" rel="">Akai</a>, etc. but not nearly as robust as those of a <a class="wiki" href="Sony" rel="">Sony</a> or <a class="wiki" href="Sanyo" rel="">Sanyo</a> or <a class="wiki" href="Panasonic" rel="">Panasonic</a>. Nevertheless they still offer an impressive lineup as listed below. Amongst their boomboxes, their WX-1 is a huge imposing model and the RTS-913 (Bombeat 40) is so rare one wonders if it isn't just a rumor model. Of course the TRS-931 has a unique cutting edge feature at the time &mdash; a detachable wireless tape deck controller.
