Sanyo is not known as a high end "luxury" or audiophile brand. You might say they are a mid level or general brand. However, one thing is for certain is that they have produced and feature one of the larger model lineups of any manufacturer. Some of the best known and respected Sanyo boombox models are the M9994 which was marketed as a "professional" model sporting dual top mounted microphones and the M-X960/K, a huge monster of a boombox with a built in angular mounted subwoofer and affectionally known and labeled as "Big-Ben" on the Japanese version. Sanyo and Fisher USA affiliates merged in the mid 1980's. Indeed, service manuals for both Fisher and Sanyo products look eerily similar. Some models produced by Sanyo are listed below:
