Marantz, Superscope
Marantz is well known brand amongst audiophile circles. When the name is Marantz, you know that it's serious stereo gear. In 1964 Superscope Inc. acquired Marantz until 1980 when Superscope sold Marantz to Philips. For this reason, the boomboxes and audio electronics listed below may have either or both the Marantz or Superscope brand names, since this is the era that most boombox collectors are interested in.
