Big & brutish....that's the ISP SC-800. evil It's a 3-piece boombox that measures 25x13x8 inches, and weighs 23.8 lbs (10.8 kg), not including batteries. I'm not sure how much power it puts to the speakers, but it has two Sanyo STK6431 amp chips (which are big), and an alleged 130 watts consumption.

The knobs are awesome. They have a gold anodized appearance. The tuner knob is weighted. The balance knob has a center detent. The bass and treble knobs have 10 detents. The volume and recording level knobs have 40 detents.

The tuner has FM, AM, and shortwave. The tuner needle is lighted. There is an LED tuning strength meter.

The LED
