Contributions to Crown CSC-980 (current version)

The Crown CSC-980 is a premium version of the <a class="wiki" href="Crown CSC-850" rel="">Crown CSC-850</a>. In this photo, the 980 is shown in front of the 850. You can see they share the same dimensions.

Compared to the 850, it has several additional features, including different speakers rated to handle more watts:

• Dolby
• Chrome toggle switches (instead of gray)
• FM presets
• A third meter that measures tuning strength and helps you set the FM presets
• Center detent positions for the bass, treble, and balance knobs
• 20 detents on the volume knob.
• Revised tape deck with softer, more gentle springs

The bass is VERY nice....very deep and warm. Even more so than the 850. It's just not as "street style" as the 850, though. It has more of a "living room" look.
