Toshiba RT-S953

The RT-S953, also called the BomBeat HR-01 in Japan, is a rare 3-piece boombox from Toshiba. The sticker on the tape door says 32 watts, but it is unknown whether that's RMS or what. It has 4 speakers, two of which are passive radiators (part number DC-12F953), and the other two are full-range drivers with wizzer cones, marked "SP-12F5R, Max 15W, 2.5 ohms". All 4 of these speakers have foam surrounds which will eventually need to be replaced.

It measures 25.4 inches long. It features autoreverse, vertical VU meters, a "Space Wide" stereo mode, and a Loudness button. It also has 2 antennas, which is pretty uncommon for a 3-piece box.

Some versions of this model have black trim around the meters, while others have silver trim. Otherwise they're identical.
