Toshiba RT-8600S
The RT-8600S (or "Actas 8600S" in Japan) is a 4-speaker ghettoblaster that was introduced in 1976. It has a beautiful metal trim plate across the top, with nice looking old-school toggle switches. It has a separate Line In setting on the function switch. It measures 438 x 231 x 124 mm. It has 12cm woofers and 5cm tweeters. It takes six D-cell batteries. Its output power is 4.4 watts (2 x 2.2), according to the Japanese EIAJ/DC industry measurement standard. It was sold with a shoulder strap that attached to the two pivots on the sides of the case. Sadly, most people have lost that strap.
