Sound 3030
This Sound 3030 ghettoblaster is a Hong Kong imitation of the Hitachi TRK-9140 with fewer features and lower-quality speakers. It was sold in German department stores during the 1980s. It is 54cm wide, 31cm tall, and 19cm deep. It weighs 9.2 KG. It's lighter than the Hitachi because it has fewer features, and the speaker compartments are made of thinner, lower-quality plastic. And the insulation inside is low-quality yellow foam that isn't audio-quality. It even blocks the bass port! Replace it with cotton fiber, wool, or fiberglass.
The good news is, the amplifier is identical to the Hitachi. It contains two Toshiba TA7222AP chips. So it can go loud and strong.
The LED meters measure input level when using the tape deck, or output level when using the tuner or Aux. Unlike the Hitachi's meters, which both move in the same direction, these meters move in the opposite directions.
