Sansui CP-55W
The CP-55W/CP-55L was part of Sansui's boombox lineup during the 1980's. There were two models above it: the CP-77 and the CP-99. It was available in black, silver, or red, which is interesting considering that Sansui was never a sales leader. It measures 580 x 226 x 177 mm. It has 2 tape decks with Dolby and high-speed dubbing, Line In, and a 5-band EQ. The speakers (model# CP-S55) contain 12 cm woofers and 2.5cm ceramic piezo tweeters. According to the service manual, which can be purchased HERE, its power output is an FTC minimum of 8 watts per channel into 4 ohms, both channels driven, from 100 to 15,000 Hz with no more than 10% THD.
