Grundig RR-940
It's all about looks and the tuner features when it comes to the Grundig RR-940 Professional. It's not that it sounds bad, however, it is clearly evident that the focus is more for this device towards being a strong SW performer rather than a Ghettoblaster. It does have all the features one would expect from a boombox, including a carry handle for portability as well as battery operation, a cassette deck, good radio/tuner, and stereo. In a sense, refined design and finesse is more appropriate for this model than brawn raw loud sound. This, as well as several other Grundig models have a unique tuner system. The main tuner dial is obvous. However, what is not obvious is that it has tuner presets (buttons along top of boombox) that actually activates separate tuners. The presets are tuned using small knobs on the rear, and the tuning scale used on the presets is the left meter. While it looks like it might be a battery or signal strength meter, it actually is a mini tuning dial.
