Akai AJ-C1

This was one of Akai's top models. 2x15 watt output, and big detachable speakers with 14cm woofers and 3cm tweeters. Digital tuner with FM station presets. Soft-touch-controls (some hidden behind a door). Line In, Line Out, and Phono. Battery (10 D-cells) or mains operation. Supposedly the tape deck has 3 motors, and a wow and flutter measurement of only 0.05% WRMS.

Models: AJ-C1L and AJ-C1FL, depending which country it was sold in.
