The CFD-900 is a very heavy, egg-shaped boombox from Sony. It was sold only in Japan, in the year 1989 we believe. It features unusual "DoDeCaHORN" speakers with ribbed cones, kind of like an open umbrella. And there's a subwoofer mounted in back. It has two tape decks, a CD player, and 3 orange LCD screens, one of which displays a spectrum analyzer. It accepts 100 volts AC, or ten D-cell batteries.
