The Condor 897W or J-44 was sold in Germany during the 1980's. It looks like a classic, stereotypical ghettoblaster. Maybe it's the white woofers and big chrome dustcaps. Maybe it's the shiny chrome and colorful graphics. Whatever, it has a youthful, playful look that screams "street".

It has two tape decks, a 4-band tuner, and an LED meter that measures power output (not input). It is powered by 8 D-cell batteries or 220 volts AC. It measures 540mm wide and 370mm tall with the handle up. As you would expect from a black plastic ghettoblaster, the build quality isn't very good. It's no worse than a Lasonic, but at least Lasonics have bass.....this doesn't. (Maybe something is wrong with mine).
