Sony CF-1990

This is the Sony CF-1990 from the year 1976. It's a 100-volt model that was sold in the Japanese market for 49,800 Yen. Sony sold other versions in other countries, like the CF-490S and CF-495L. The CF-490S has silver studs around the speaker instead of black studs.

Speaker sizes: 20cm woofer and 5cm tweeter. Output power: 5.5 watts on DC. The bass is very good, better in fact than most of Sony's stereo models. There are many features, including Loudness, Mic Mixing, CrO2 and FeCr tape settings, Auto Rewind and Repeat, and adjustable bass and treble. Frequency response is 50 to 10,000 Hz on Normal tape, 50 to 13,000 on CrO2, and 50 to 14,000 on FeCr.
