Magnavox D8629

The D8629 was a 3-piece boombox sold by Magnavox in 1984. It was probably one of their most expensive models, because it has better features than most Magnavoxes. It has left and right LED meters, a 5-band EQ, a 4-band tuner, Metal and CrO2 tape, Dolby, Loudness, Phono and Aux input, and a lighted tuner needle. The speakers say "Phase III", whatever that means. It was made in Japan and takes 9 D-cell batteries. The amplifier chip is a Sanyo LA4505, which in this application is probably going to produce 5-7 watts per channel depending on the power supply and the speaker impedance (which we assume is 4 ohms like most boomboxes).

The example shown below is very dirty, but it was the only one I was able to find on Google, so it must be a relatively rare model.
