Grundig RR 3000

The Grundig RR-3000 has lots of features for a ghettoblaster of such modest size. It's only 47CM long and it only weighs 5.2 KG, but it's packed with features, including FM presets, metal knobs, a smooth logic deck, and a very nice tuner light with a backplate that carries the light across the dial. (If this light is not working, you will need to replace the 2 bulbs inside).

It was available in 3 versions: Silver with plain grills (first photo), brown with plain grills (second photo), or brown with round speaker trim rings (third photo). The third one has fake chrome center-caps hung by plastic legs in front of the woofers.

It has 4 speakers, and the tweeters are positioned far apart for maximum separation. It only has 2x3 watts Sinus (RMS), or 2x6 watts "music power", so it's not very loud, but the frequency response is broad and warm. It also has a nice Wide setting. It's the perfect office/desk box!
