Wow! The Magnavox D2810/17 Power Booster is "the mono that could". It's one of the best monos I've ever heard. It's small (13" wide, 10.3" tall with the handle up), but it's got 3 speakers (a 5.5" woofer, 3" midrange, and 2" tweeter), and each produces a unique sound. The frequency range is broader than I expected from such a small radio. The lows go really low, and the highs go really high. In fact, in my opinion it sounds better than Magnavox's bigger and more popular model, the 5-speaker D8443.
Disappointingly, it doesn't have Line In......or even a tape deck. But it's still such a cool unit. Each of the 3 speakers has a chrome dustcap as well as a horizontal chrome "protector" (like Lasonic). This radio would look sweet if you removed the grills or painted them black or dark blue to allow the chrome to better reveal itself. here is a "Booster" switch that dramatically increases the volume.
