Galaxis M1900N

The Galaxis M-1900N is one of the rarest boomboxes. A Google search reveals only one: This one, which was sold on Ebay in June 2016. It's nearly identical to the Nippon FS-2215, which itself is very rare.

At 60cm wide and 33cm tall, it's larger than average, and it has very unique styling, with lots of gold trim. But we don't know what the "200" badges are supposed to mean. No, it's not the speaker size. They're only 155mm. There's plenty of room for 200mm speakers, but the manufacturer chose not to provide them. Speaking of room, there's lots of it...it's nearly empty inside. It's just a low-quality Hong Kong box that happens to look nice. The case creaks when you handle it, the handle falls down without any resistance, and the tuner dial movement has friction spots. Oh and the tweeters are fake.

It has both a graphic equalizer AND bass/treble knobs. They both function in a cumulative/additive manner. However, it's not a bass monster. In fact, the bass starts distorting fairly early. The amplifier is an NEC µPC1185H2, which in this application will provide 5 to 7 watts per channel depending on whether batteries or AC power is used.
