The CS-770 AE, AH, AK, and AU are blue under the grill, and they have "acoustic lenses" over the tweeters.

Aiwa CS-770AH

The CS-770AH, CS-770AE, CS-770AU, and CS-770AK all look like the photographs below. They came out in 1982, one year after the Aiwa CS-770. They lost the programmable music search and the Mic Mixing knob, but they gained new styling including new tweeter grills and a cool blue color under the main grill.

It has 16cm woofers and 5cm tweeters. You can enhance the bass by pressing the (Dynamic Super Loudness) button, which is somewhat similar to the Loudness switch on other boomboxes. Unlike the regular CS-770, it has an adjustable slider next to the DSL button, allowing you to adjust the DSL effect. The tape deck is very good..... its wow and flutter is a very low 0.038% WRMS, and its frequency response is allegedly 35 to 16,000 Hz when using Metal tape.

How does it sound? Well in my opinion, it seems like it has a little more bass than Aiwa's TPR-950, but not as much clarity or detail. It's not as well-built either. It's more empty inside. It only weighs 0.2 KG more than a TPR-950, even though it's much bigger. But on the positive side, this is a very rare, good-looking box with a style all its own.
